The Meth Taskforce is involved in many programs around the county.  This page will identify these programs, and help you to understand how you can be a part of this team.

Taskforce Meeting

The taskforce meets monthly in Centreville.  Please contact Christine Ertman if you wish to attend a meeting.

Events

The taskforce has hosted many events in the county to include, Early Bird Breakfast at Sturgis and Three Rivers Area Chamber of Commerce.  Town Hall meeting at the Sturges Young Auditorium, and a Fair Booth at the St. Joe County Grange Fair.

Upcoming Events and Training

MethWatch of Michigan

"Michigan Meth Watch" is a program to help deter suspicious sales or theft of products and medicines containing pseudoephedrine or ephedrine.  Meth Watch was first started in Kansas as a public/private partnership between Kansas Department of Health and the Environment, Kansas Bureau of Investigation, The Kansas Methamphetamine prevention Project, and Kansas retailers.
 
The Consumer Healthcare Products Association (CHPA) has partnered with Kansas to develop a national, uniform Meth Watch program.  Materials and information about the Michigan Meth Watch Program are centrally located at www.michiganmethwatch.org
 
The Michigan Methwatch Program offers:
 
Employee Training and Management Training
Signage (posters, stickers, brochures, and shelf tags)
Tips on strategic product placement
Working closely with Law Enforcement
